Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1)

Paris Saint Germain is out of the Coupe de Franch after they lost to Paris on a score of 0:1. The bookies gave PSG about 1.17 odds to win Paris but they could not win which is to let us know that no matter the small odds given to any team, they can still lose. Anyways, i bet on Paris to win immediately they scored but the odd was lowered from 17 to about 2.55 odds. PSG might likely not go home with a trophy this season because even in the French league Lens is at the top while PSG is in the second position. Though they are still active in the Champions League so they might perform better over there.

I have been asking what really happened? So Lyon, Lille, Monaco, Marseille and the other top teams in Ligue 1 could not do this but it was Paris that I felt would be removing the ball from the back of the net every 10'mins of the game that removed PSG, what a disgrace. The odd the bookie gave PSG has always been the type that end with either 2-0 or 2-1 but it failed for PSG has to be eliminated. Now they're out and let's make excuses for PSG, the trophy is not as important as the league and champions league. What didn't they do right against Paris?

Is been a while we heard from this player since his move to the Spanish side ATM, since then he hard get the playing time he wanted after the first season and I wonder why such a good player would be sitting on the bench always but good thing he made this move to Spurs. The chance he ask for has finally come and we know Bissouma how injury prone he is to the club now Spurs have a replacement should in case anything happens Conor Gallagher will be the best man for the job, he really made a good move at least Chelsea will see what they have been missing.

This is someone who devoted his time and energy to bring the best for the club and they couldn't look for a better way to pay him back, funny though...I don't know how true this is but we should consider it, something like this can happen even if we don't know what the player have in his mind, depression can take fully control of such a player and we know how emotionally he can be, is it time for Bruno Fernandez to take a bow?

Oh, the next victim is going to be Michael Carrick then.  Tongue  I don't know why they would make such decision. Sacking Amorim and bringing Carrick who doesn't even have much experience as a manager yet.

I know Amorim's win rate wasn't as good as their previous manager in the recent years. But at least he made progress in the Premier League by carrying the team above. The owners are really difficult to understand...

For me I would have loved it more if they let Amorim stay and finish what he started and that's taking this players till the end of the campaign but they went on out of desperation to sack him and bring in Carrick now to take charge, I hope they won't start complaining when things ain't going their way. Just yesterday the fans of UTD were busy complaining of being eliminated from the FA Cup while Rashford was busy celebrating with Barcelona and tomorrow the supporters of Manchester United still will say the club is fine? No way.
For me I don't think the manager is the problem, is just to get the right man for the job but who would that be? The owners seem to be the problem for things not to go the way they want and I don't know why I haven't seen much protest from the fans with all these crazy things we have been seeing, at this point I think some players will have to push their way out too.

Abdul Samad Rabiu, Chairman and Founder of BUA Group, promised the Nigerian Super Eagles USD $1 million if they win the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations final, in addition to USD $100,000 for each goal scored in the final.
Rabiu, Nigerias second-wealthiest man with a fortune of $9.8 billion, shared on X: Congratulations to our Super Eagles players on a brilliant victory against Algeria! You have lifted the spirit of the nation, and we proudly cheer you on as you prepare for the semi-finals.
To encourage you, I pledge USD $500,000 to the players upon winning the semi-final, with an additional USD $50,000 for every goal scored. Should you go on to win the final, I further pledge USD $1,000,000, plus USD $100,000 for each goal scored in the final.
Am very proud to see that the super eagles are been successful and are been supported by this one man and to me this is how to encourage people not just making them to feel discouraged i feel this is what the NFF should be doing right now and our so called government should be also boosting their efforts in playing well for the quarterfinals, when I came across such news it was really a great idea to boost their confidence and moral let all keep supporting them in anyway way we can

I don't like this for one second, pure set up, see is good to motivate these guys but since they started motivating the Super Eagles how far have they gone? This is a period of full concentration no distraction that may attract confusion in the squad. No joking around should be the theme of the Eagles and now they want to support them  with money? I hope this doesn't get to their head because I so much love how the Eagles are playing without any form of promises by these messed up politicians, if they want to motivate the Super Eagles they should go to the NFF and speak to them about all these owing and all that, payment of bonuses is a must and no story, we have gone this far to get distracted by money motivation, they need it but anything that would start making them dropping this awesome performance they should put it aside, for me until they win the AFCON everybody should hold their money first.
Sincerely speaking I agree with you, this is probably a distraction to the team, the good thing is that some of the players are very wealthy as they are playing in European clubs that pay them handsomely, so 500 million is not too much of a big deal for some of those players. However i frown at this attitude of rewarding players just in the middle of the competition with financial gift, if at the end of the competition then super Eagles wins the title, then you can you can show appreciation but wanting to motivate players with cash gift at this moment is purely a setup.

I don't think you should see it that way that the players are wealthy that the $500 or whatever is not going to do anything big for them but we should look at it this way, everybody have money everybody needs money but in as much as they (the players) have money and are wealthy it is still possible for them to reject the offer or take the money and give it out to charity but the major concern is go out there do your job just like you said winning the tournaments will be more better, that will be the biggest avenue to present whatever gift/price when they bring the trophy home other than creating an awareness or I don't know what to call it but this attitude we have seen it before. And I must say that for a long time now, it has been a long time since I have seen the Super Eagles give us this kind of performance in the last 10 years (if not more). So using money as a means to kill this energy that they have given to the fans or we the supporters shouldn't have happened but because this has been their pattern, they should allow the momentum flow just watch them closely until they come back home with the trophy.

Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread

Theres nothing much to say about Bayern Munich, they completely wiped Wolfsburg off the pitch and won the match 81.
Bayern Munich took 16 shots and 8 of them went in, meaning every second shot they took resulted in a goal.
The first half ended with a fairly normal score, but in the second half Bayern Munich scored six more goals and put on a real show for the fans.

The consistency with these guys is something I haven't seen in a very long while, when I saw the game at 1-1 I just laughed because these are the same thing the other teams did like robbing shoulders like they can be able to withstand the pressure when Bayern are ready to play, scoring against a dominant force and going back into the cave and start relaxing thinking that everything is going as plan can never win a team as Bayern Munich, you need more to take these guys out. No loss since the beginning of this season's Bundesliga and it should be worrisome to the other clubs unless they're happy with how Bayern Munich have turned the league into their play ground...8-1 is too much and a shameful visit by Wolfsburg.

Enderick, the 19-year-old former Real Madrid talent, after leaving Real Madrid to join Olympique Lyonnais, scored his first goal against Lille in his first game for the club. How happy the young brazillian fees right now, to be in the first team and to have a successful career path. This marks his first goal also in the 2025/2026 season.

Hopefully, Olympique Lyonnais will sign him after the loan contract expires.

At first Madrid fans made this player the star boy in the media but when is time to pushing him into the light they switched off the light on Endrick, the way and manner Madrid over hype some players always lead them to their downfall and it will be hard to raise back again. So happy to have seen him get a goal and if he continues like this I'm sure some other clubs if not Lyon would be calling for his full service. Madrid made this player almost lose those abilities he have and now I expect more from him. He has to market himself completely to get a place where he'd be part of something.

Honestly I'm not sure of Francis Odinaka Uzoho replacing Nnwabali, it could happen but let's ask ourselves this question, why is it that this man Nnwabali is always acting differently when it matters a lot? He doesn't know when to delay or how to delay at the same time avoid a card and now he's been suspended for that useless idea of delaying, doesn't he even have what it takes to be the shot stopper of the Super Eagles? To be honest, I'm not worried about Ndidi being replaced (he has done pretty well) by Raphael Onyedika, that's ok but the issue is the goalkeeper I don't think he has what it takes to take us far just like our great goalkeeper did back then, talking about Vincent Enyeama, he has it all and it pains me that some of these goalkeeper we have can't learn some of what he did. So can Uzoho do better against Morocco that's if he's being considered the replacement for Nnwabali?
